"What's that?" we say, pointing out our front door.
"Fuji!" she exclaims.
"That's right!" we reply. "What a clever girlie you are." And we walk away smugly thinking our daughter is sooo smart she even knows the name of Japan's most famous mountain.
"What's that?" I say, pointing at the sky between two of the trees at Takazawa Koen.
"Fuji!" she exclaims.
"That's right!" I reply. "Clever girlie!" And I smugly think my daughter is sooo smart, she even knows the name of Japan's most famous mountain from the vantage point of the ground some distance from our apartment.
Then she points at the tall and narrow pointed peaks that decorate the barrier of the park's sandpit. "Fuji, fuji, fuji!" she shouts...
